University Extension Courses in Introductory and Advanced Agriscience

The University Center of Patos de Minas (UNIPAM), through its legal representative, the Daniel Franco Institute (IDF), launches two short university extension courses: Introduction to Agriscience and Advanced Topics in Animal and Plant Production, for students from Gabon and Côte d'Ivoire. The three-month course began in the second semester of 2024, and is taught entirely with simultaneous translation into French, benefiting 44 students from both countries.

The aim of the program is to offer technical training to all students and professionals interested in the fundamental principles of agronomic and veterinary sciences. Its teaching and learning methodology combines theoretical training with practical activities, which make up the majority of the course's workload. At the end of the course, participants will be able to implement and manage farming systems, as well as animal care and practices.
